Bijan Emkanian joins ‘Heart’ series

Iranian actor Bijan Emkanian has cast for Manouchehr Hadi’s upcoming series ‘Heart’.

Written by Babak and Meisam Kaydan, the series is romantic and revolves around two people who have been separated.

Iranian stars Sareh Bayat, Kourosh Tahami, Hamed Behdad, Saeed Rad, Mehraveh Sharifinia, and Afsaneh Bayegan will also appear in the series.

The series will reportedly come in two seasons, each composed of 14 episodes.

Emkanian has appeared in a number of movies, including ‘The Night it Happened’, ‘The Burning Poplars’, ‘Song of Tehran’, ‘The Secret of the Matthiola’, ‘Rules of the Game’ and ‘Parya's Story’.

His performance in ‘Intersection’ earned him Iran Cinema Celebration Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. He was also nominated for the same award by starring in ‘Friday Soldiers’.

Other activities of his include producing as well as directing theatrical plays and 8mm films.
